Serendipitous Observations of the Moon and Venus – The Potential of Meteorological Satellite Data for Planetary Science

Recently, some meteorological satellites were proven to be useful as space telescopes for planetary and astronomical observations. This talk will introduce recent studies on the Moon and Venus conducted using data from the Japanese meteorological satellites Himawari-8/9.
