One of the goals of the European Society is to facilitate communication and networking between professionals and amateurs in the planetary community.

You will see some recommendations and rules upon joining, but here are some starter tips:

1. Use your full name so that other society members know who you are! You can set display names for specific servers, so your full name will only be displayed in the Europlanet server.
2. Self select your role within the Europlanet Society by heading to the #roles channel, and reacting with the emoji that corresponds with your role. This will give you access to role-specific channel groups, for example if you select the EPEC role, you will see additional EPEC channels. Please only select roles which correspond to your role within Europlanet.
3. Start the conversation! Introduce yourself in the #general channel, in the #networking channel, or find your regional colleagues or fellow committee members in those channels.
4. Discord has a direct messaging function, so please feel free to use this as a quick and easy way to message fellow Europlanet members!
