Europlanet offers access to research infrastructure and services to support the planetary science community around the world. Our programmes have been developed and optimised over nearly 20 years through funding from the European Commission.

Europlanet AISBL (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif) was founded in Brussels in 2023 as an international non-profit association. Through this membership organisation, Europlanet can deliver access, mobility and community support programmes on a sustainable basis.
Organisations joining Europlanet have the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge science linked to current and upcoming planetary missions, share facilities and services with an international user community, provide strategic input to help shape policy relevant to planetary research and exploration, and develop collaborations with global partners. Organisational Members are also eligible to participate in funding bids coordinated through Europlanet.
Membership costs are tiered, with reduced rates available for organisations and researchers in Under-Represented States (URS)*.
Europlanet services and programmes are used by planetary scientists across the globe. Its flagship Transnational Access scheme fosters international and interdisciplinary collaboration, with a proven track record in delivering high-impact publications.
By joining Europlanet as an organisational member, you can enhance your visibility and raise your profile in the planetary community. As well as researchers, Europlanet members include industry professionals, amateur astronomers and other community stakeholders. The annual Europlanet Science Congress (EPSC) is the largest European meeting for planetary science, attracting around 1200 participants. Over half of EPSC participants and Europlanet individual members are early careers, who are supported through training schools, a mentoring programme and the Europlanet Early Career (EPEC) network.
