Evaluating our Impact on Planetary Science

In this session, Dr Jen DeWitt will share her experiences from evaluating the impact of the Europlanet 2024 Research Infrastructure on the planetary science community and provide an overview of her findings, which include some surprising highlights. Commissioning an external social scientist to conduct the impact evaluation was an important point of difference for this project, and we will explore how we can better evaluate complex and multi-faceted projects to assess their impact on the community. We will also provide an update on how these findings have helped shape Europlanet’s sustainability roadmap beyond 2024.
